School2U Virtual Academy

About School2U

School2U Virtual Academy CIC provides hybrid alternative provision for young people from Upper Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 5 who cannot currently access school in the usual way. We work online nationally and face to face across London and the South East. Our provision is built around the young person, their family and the commissioning school. We start with relationship and readiness. A named practitioner stays with the young person. Families have someone they can reach. Schools receive clear reporting. Every plan has a destination and a review date. Our aim is not to keep a young person in alternative provision indefinitely. We help them continue learning, rebuild trust and move towards a sustainable return, transition or next step.

How we work

Relationship first.

We start where the young person actually is.

Education continues.

Learning is adapted around need, stamina and circumstances without lowering expectations.

Family matters.

Parents and carers are part of the plan, not left outside it.

Accountability stays clear.

The commissioning school receives written information on attendance, engagement and progress.

Progress has a destination.

Every placement works towards a return, transition or next stage.

Our team

School2U brings together qualified teachers, experienced tutors and mentors, a SEND specialist qualified to Level 7, and professionals with expertise across education, safeguarding and family support. Our leadership board includes a former Ofsted inspector, bringing extensive experience of education quality, standards and accountability. Across the team, professional expertise, specialist knowledge and lived experience shape how we support young people and families. Our Vision

A UK education system where no child becomes invisible. We are building a flexible, trauma-informed learning ecosystem that adapts to the learner, restores access to education early, and reduces the pipeline into exclusion and NEET.

Our Mission

Remove the barriers that keep disengaged pupils from learning. School2U delivers personalised, safeguarding-led provision and whole-family support so pupils can re-engage, rebuild confidence and return to education with dignity — not blame.

Our Values

Equity by Design

Every pupil deserves access to education, regardless of circumstance. We design provision that adapts to the learner, not the other way around.

Whole-Child Outcomes

Wellbeing, confidence and belonging matter as much as qualifications. We measure what matters.

Personalisation with Power

Bespoke doesn't mean vague. Every timetable is purposeful, evidence-led and built for progression.

Partnership That Holds the Line

We work alongside schools, families and professionals — with honesty, accountability and mutual respect.

What schools receive weekly

School2U was founded by Gloria Dalafu, a UK educator with two decades of experience supporting pupils with complex needs, attendance challenges and SEND.

For Gloria, education was not just a qualification. It was the difference between being limited by circumstance and being able to choose a future. It opened doors that were not designed to open easily, and it proved that talent exists everywhere — even when opportunity does not.

Over years in schools, she saw the same truth repeated: many pupils do not fail loudly. They disappear quietly. They remain on roll, sometimes even physically present, but emotionally and practically absent from learning. Too often, support arrives only when disengagement becomes crisis.

School2U exists to change that. We provide calm, safeguarding-led provision that restores routine, confidence and learning stamina early, with a clear route back into education or progression. This is not tutoring. It is preventative education infrastructure for pupils who are slipping through the cracks.
